Lawyers & Staff:
Sheila is the Managing Partner of Tallans Solicitors. She is an expert in contentious litigation with over 30 years of experience in this field. Her areas of practice include personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, debt recovery, family law and local government and planning issues. Sheila studied in UCD before being admitted to practice in 1975. She worked in a large Dublin firm for four years before joining Tallans in 1977.
Padraic is a Partner in our firm’s litigation and dispute resolution department. He specialises in personal injury litigation and has acted on behalf of numerous insurance companies and private clients throughout the years. Padraic also has extensive knowledge of local government work. Padraic was admitted to practice in 1978. He joined Tallans Solicitors in 1983 having spent time in law offices in Cork and Cavan.
Deirdre is a Partner in our Family and Local Government department. She also has extensive experience in most areas of law in particular commercial and residential conveyancing, debt collection and local government law. Deirdre graduated from University College Dublin in 1985 where she studied History. She was admitted into practice in 1993. She joined Tallans Solicitors in 1994 and was appointed partner in the firm in 2007.
Brenda is a Partner of the firm and the head of the Family Law department at our Ashbourne Office. She is a specialist in Family Law and has been advising clients on all aspects of family law for over 20 years. She is also experienced in all types of Property transactions, both residential and commercial, and deals with licensing and criminal law matters in the Ashbourne office.
Mairead is a specialist in Property Law with a vast experience in dealing with all types of property transactions, both residential and commercial. She also has huge experience in the area of probate law. Mairead was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. She joined Tallans Solicitors in 1998, becoming partner of the firm in 2003.
Olive has wide experience in both residential conveyancing and commercial conveyancing. She completed the commercial conveyancing diplomat with the Law Society in 2007. Olive also has experience in employment law and advises clients in relation to Will drafting and preparation. Olive graduated from National University of Ireland Galway with an Arts Degree in 1994 and a Law Degree in 1997. She was admitted to practice in 2000 and joined Tallans Solicitors in 2011.
Orla is a Senior Solicitor in our litigation department. She specialises in personal injury, medical negligence and commercial litigation. Orla studied Law and German (LLB) at the University of Ulster and holds a Masters in European Law (LLM) from the University of Saarland, Germany. Orla commenced her practice in litigation in 2010 with William Fry and joined Tallans Solicitors in March 2019.
Nora has been with Tallans Solicitors in Drogheda for over 20 years. Nora’s experience is mainly in Probate and Conveyancing.Nora leads our probate department and is experienced in both probate and conveyancing matters.
Lucy has been with Tallans Solicitors for over 20 years. In her capacity as account administrator, Lucy looks after all matters relating to finance, audits and Law Society requirements. She works on a daily basis with accounts ensuring our practice complies with all Law Society regulations. Lucy is also the office manager of both the Ashbourne and Drogheda offices on a day to day basis.
